Opened in 1947, the Longhorn is one of the oldest traditions in the Garden Valley area.
While celebrating the incorporation of Crouch in 1951, mayor Oliver Bedal toasted Crouch's future with the declaration, "Here's the town that will be forever free of taxes." Asked why the new village was incorporated the mayor continued, "Every community standing seems to have whiskey and slot machines and we decided to have them, too."
We are proud of our community and the spirit and independence of its residents.
